Maple Roasted Endive

Serve scattered on s salad for a tangy, smoky, gently sweet accompaniment. Amazing on steak salad.

Maple Roasted Endive

Thank you to S.R. Best for this elegant but simple recipe. This goes especially well with roasted or grilled meats. You can also place the endives on top of a steak salad.


  • 4 Endives cut in half vertically
  • 1 TSP Good Olive Oil
  • 2 TSPS Maple Syrup
  • Add a little bit more, if you like.


  • Preheat Oven to 325 degrees
  • Place cut and checked endive in a lightly oiled baking pan
  • Drizzle with oil and then maple syrup
  • Bake for about 10 to 15 minutes.
  • Check after 5 minutes.
  • If your oven is hot and the endive is starting to brown, check again in 2 minutes.
  • When wilted and browned some - but not charred, it is ready.
