
Walnut Mushroom Pate
Wholesome and healthy. Great as a side to a lunch salad.
Ingredients
- 2 Large Onions - Diced
- 2 Cups of Walnuts - soaked for 10 minutes
- 1 Pint of Mushrooms - sliced
- 2 - 3 Cloves of Garlic - crushed
- 1/4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
Instructions
- Drain the walnuts and place in a food processor
- Saute the diced onions till well carmelized.
- When done, let cool and place in the food processor
- In the same skillet saute the sliced mushrooms lightly.
- Then add this to your food processor as well as the crushed garlic
- Start processing, add the oil. If you want the pate thicker or thinner add a tablespoon of
- oil more.
- Add salt and pepper. Process a bit more and taste to correct seasoning to your taste.
- Feel free to add more crushed garlic for more kick.
